ANIMATION VIDS

I uploaded my pacman video onto youtube so that I can upload it onto here

This is the link incase the video itself doesnt work:

ANIMATION

THIS lesson we made Pong animations, we used Microsoft powerpoint and added custom adnimations to the shapes to make them move
We could do this animation in Inkscape and play it in windows movie maker but it would take to long to move the object and export all the files

PENGUIN!

<This is him
TODAY I made a penguin on inkscape

windows movie maker isnt on the setting of windows so we (Kelly and I) had to download it onto our computers and then Sir (Mr. Cavill) had to type in the administrator password so that it would run.

Images on my blog are working so I am going through my blog and adding images where needed

graphic lesson

TODAY  Sir gave us a demonstration on how to create an animation, he made a pacman figure using inkscape and changed it slightly each time to create the effect of pacman opening and closing its mouth

I also completed a pacman figure as well as an exploding star

I am planning to put them on windows movie maker to create the full animation but i cannot seem to find the program

as soon as i do find the program and complete the animation I will post it on my youtube account and post the link here for viewing on the account that the 'Instert Image' action on this blog hasnt been working

LESSON 6

Today we fiddled around with Inkscape, we had a lok at all the different tools, techniques and abilities the program possessed and then played around with the tools on our own to see what we could create

I tried to create a paper note from a tutorial on http://speckyboy.com/2009/04/28/35-tutorials-to-create-amazing-vector-graphics-using-inkscape/ but had a little trouble with one of the tools

I then tried to create a

6TH LESSON 15.2.11

IMAGE FILE TYPES: explain how the following work

  • GIF files = GIF files work through specific parts, that control different areas associated with the image, when all these parts are connected the GIF file run's by the simple replacement of one image over another.
  • JPEG files =
  • Animated GIF files
  • MPEG files
  • Shockwave files

5th lesson ! 14.2.11

DIGITAL ART........... REAL ART?

I was able to create an artwork on the computer using http://artpad.art.com/artpad/painter/
My paintings link is below:

ART: Art is the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way to affect the senses or emotions
the expression of human endevours, through music, dance, sculpture, painting, drawing, stitchery, weaving, poetry, writing, woodworking, ect.

DISCUSSION: IS DIGITAL ART A VALID FORM OF ART?
Some would believe that digital art isnt "real art"
In MY opinion, Digital art is as real as paint of paper, art is an expression of endevours, challenges, insparation and events from everyday life, whether I was to express myself through painting on a canvas or painting on a computer It would still be considered art because the definition does not specify that art has to be made through a particular outlet

Some advantages of digital art:
  • If you make a mistake with the "paint" you simply erase it, where as with real paint you would either start again or fuss over the accident
  • Creating art on digital media is in some way money saving, you dont need to continuously buy art products

To create digital art, the artist must posess the skill & knowledge to operate the computer tools, usually there would be instructions but if not the artist must be able to work out for them selves what tools do what and how you use them

4TH LESSON 11.2.11

DIGITAL MEDIA
FORMS OF DIGITAL MEDIA:
  1. Camera
  2. Ipod
  3. Iphone
  4. Ipad
  5. Video Camera
  6. Computers // Laptops
  7. Mobiles
  8. Television
  9. Game consoles
  10. E-Books
  11. Internet
Digital Media can be based on Mathematical Operations that can be applied regardless of its interpretation

BIT: A BIT or Binary Digit is a unit of information in computing and telecommunications

BYTE: A BYTE is a unit of information in computing and telecommunications that mostly consists of 8 Bits

SAMPLE RATE: defines the number of samples per second taken from a continuous signal to form a discrete signal
[IMAGE: http://www.cisco.com/image/gif/paws/109057/KB16717_002_EN.jpg]

The higher the colour depth, the broader the range of distinct colours, if the colour depth is affected so is the colour of the image

        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 1 BIT ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
********************** 24 BIT ********************

Sampling Rate does not affect still images like colour depth does because Still images do not produce a continuous signal like a video didgital media does.

3RD LESSON 9.2.11

PAINTING TOOLS
Each tool of the PAINT PROGRAM causes different things to happen and allows you to paint, magnify, crop, edit, move and replace things on the screen.
Depending on what you want to achive on paint, depends on what tools you use.
http://www.lesley.edu/faculty/ahunt/MSPttutr.htm - This link takes you to a Paint Tutorial page, in which it explains what icons do what and how you may use them in different situations.

DRAWING TOOLS IN WORD
In word, i was able to create a 3D dog, using tools such as
  • Autoshape: Autoshape develops 3D &/or 2D shapes which you can move and bring forward to create the shape and see it in all different angles
  • Wordart: Is a tools that produces 3D/2D text, in different fonts, styles, lengths and colours that you can move and edit to create such things as headings

2ND LESSON

START OF YEAR CHECKLIST:i must create a google account (DONE) & add useful widgets that will help me, i also need to create a blogger account (DONE)so i can record all my work
[START OF YEAR CHECKLIST]

GRAPIC TEMRS: I must find the definitions for the following words
1.animated gif = a type of GIF image that can be animated by combining several images into a single GIF file
2.jpeg = a file format used for image compression
3.pixel = the smallest discretecomponent of an image or picture on a CRT screen
4.bmp = an image file used to store bitmap digital images
5.flip = ?
6.video card = a piece of hardware installed into a personal computer to allow it to send video signals to an extrenal output device such as a monitor or a projector
7.crop = ?
8.mirror =
9.fps [frames per second] = the speed at which still images in a video or animation are played in succession by an imaging device
10.frame = still images
11.morph = to cause to change shape in a computer animation
12.cpu = central processing unit.
13.dpi = resolution that varies across media
14.resolution = the resolvability in an electron density map
15.file extention = a computer file applied to indicate the encoding convention of its contents
16.compression = process that reduces the dynamic range of an audio signal
17.frame buffer = a buffer that stores the contents of an image, pixel by pixel
18.colour depth = a graphic term describing the number of bits used to represent the colour of a singal pixel
