Synopsis 29.06.11

Our IST project this term is a video.
We could do it individually or in groups. I choose to work in a group with Kelly Gonsalves and Julianne Barker

Our video is designed to be a Music Video. we choose the song Wasting Away by australian band Tonight Alive.

The video features Kelly and Julianne as best friends and the challenge osf Kelly dealing with Juliannes sudden death in a car crash, she feels like she's "Wasting Away" in a sense.

The film was shot on location at Kelly's house on a friday afternoon.

DELETE 29.06.11

I deleted the video from Youtube for 2 reasons

1. Because Kelly didnt want it on there (-.-) & 2. because I only had it on youtube to have it on my blog, but today I handed in the disc with said video and so no longer need it on my blog :)

Late nights

Its 11:02pm on Saturday night and I am uploading the IST video to youtube, the first upload I did last IST lesson failed

the link will be on the Term 2 page, although the video will most likely not be available for a couple of hours after upload


Kelly has the finished video but Julianne doesnt have the proper version so will (most likely) be uploading this on Monday's lesson

YouTube..... Nah not really...

I am having some problems with my sound.
all other sound (YouTube, Music, ect) is working eccept for the actual video sound
Kelly played it on her computer and apparently it worked fine (-.-)

I showed the video to 2 of my friends for an opinion (Gabriella & Madelyn) and they liked it, they suggested I make the intro (the letters) quicker so it looks better and I agreed so this lesson I quickened the pace to 0.25 and it looked alot better

Kelly actually saved the video (?) to a Windows media played file

The music still doesnt work (At least not on my computer) Im going to have to sort this out, maybe my computers just having a bad day

Im uploading the FINISHED  video to YouTube, regardless of if the music works or doesnt, until then I'm just going to attach it to the blog and hope it works (fingers crossed)

Filming & Editing

On friday we all made the trip to Kelly's house to do the filming

Kelly played the Best Friend
Julianne played Jules (who died in a car accident)
I directed

We had planned for the video to include Dancers (Jacinta, Ameliah and Jessica) but when I put the footage together, we had enough footage to conclude the 3 minutes in which the song goes for so we dont need the dancers anymore

Saying that, I re-designed the storyboard

and the video is practically finished, I did some editing with Kelly and Julianne this lesson but it was alright regardless
The video does not contain us in our school uniforms so I'm going to post it on youtube (But if there is a problem I will happily take it down)

The video is due Saturday according to the assignment sheet available on the IST site, so I will re-upload it our next IST lesson and hand it in to Mr Cavil on disc as per instructed on the sheet

I was unable to post a blog last lesson as we were outside fiddling with the begining sequence of the video containing still shots of letters that compile together to create a word
